I think that isFifoBusy bring better sync with VI (video interface) because the CPU emulated threads are waiting for DrawDone in BP Register. So, I do some modifications.

1) Rename “IsFifoBusy” by “isPossibleWaitingSetDrawDone”

2) Only activate isPossibleWaitingSetDrawDone when bFF_GPLinkEnable is true in fifo loop “Inmediate mode” that is because in theory this drawsync function is using in this mode.

3) Deactivate isPossibleWaitingSetDrawDone also in SetFinish in PixelEngine, beside when 32 block is finish.

Please regression in yours games thats can bring some FPS more above all with VPS frame limiter ON (Auto, 60, 50, etc).

It’s very simple, so I won’t even go into the details, but here’s a video tutorial made by Pepxl based on v4.0.1 (thanks for the great video man!!). Later versions work much in the same way, so its still a great tutorial even if you are using a newer version.

Wait until the program is done working, verify that all the files downloaded “OK”, then (if you didn’t change the drive letter to your SD card) locate the newly created folder called “COPY_TO_SD”. Copy everything inside this folder to the root of your SD card (merge folders if it asks).

Now just follow the generated guide.

Wii Channel

wilsoff was gracious enough to create an official Wii Channel. You can find it on the Downloads page.

Prerequisites

You must have IOS58 to use this channel. Either upgrade to System Menu 4.3, or use the IOS58 Installer.

You must have Homebrew Channel 1.0.8+ running on IOS58 to run the installer. If HBC is not using IOS58, reinstall it.

This channel tries load apps/wiimc/boot.dol from SD or USB. You must have WiiMC installed in one of these locations.

Installation

Copy the installer files to your SD/USB device

Launch the installer from HBC

Click Install

Done!

Media Playback

DVD playback, with DVD menu support (newer Wiis have incompatible drives)

Files with AVC/H.264 video streams (typically .mp4, .mkv or .flv’s from YouTube or other sites) with resolutions up to 720x480p usually play correctly.

Files with MPEG-4 Simple video streams (typically XVID/DIVX .avi’s) with resolutions up to 656×352 play correctly.

Files with MPEG-2 PS video streams (typically DVD rips and TV-DVR recorded .mpg’s) with resolutions up to 720×480 play correctly.

Files with MPEG-2 TS video streams (typically HDTV recorded .ts files) with resolutions up to 1280×720 play correctly.

AAC, AC3, FLAC, MP3, OGG Vorbis, WavPack, and WAV PCM Audio Streams all play correctly.

Supported File Extensions

Video

3gp, asf, avi, bik, divx, dpg, dv, dvr-ms, evo, f4v, flc, fli, flv, iso, m1v, m2t, m2ts, m2v, m4v, mkv, mov, mp4, mp4v, mpe, mpeg, mpg, mqv, nsv, nuv, ogm, qt, rmvb, swf, trp, ts, vdr, vfw, viv, vob, vro, wmv, y4m (maximum allowed resolution: 1280×720)

Audio

aac, ac3, aif, aiff, amr, ape, apl, asf, flac, m4a, m4b, m4p, mka, mp2, mp3, mpc, ogg, ra, ram, rm, shn, wav, wma, wv

Pictures

bmp, jpeg, jpg, png, gif

Playlist

asx, m3u, pls, plx, ram, smil

Limitations

CD playback: the Wii drive is DVD only

HD output: even on component cable Wii hardware is limited to 480p or 576i

5.1 sound: Wii hardware has only two analogue audio output channels (2.0)

720p/1080p playback or downscale: power is not enough to even decode, not to mention downscaling

Deinterlace: CPU is not powerful enough, and MPlayer filters are not optimized

Prerequisites

You need to have IOS58 (more info) for USB 2.0 support. It comes with game “Your Shape” and also with System Menu 4.3, or you can use the IOS58 Installer

DVD playback requires HBC 1.0.8 or the latest official WiiMC channel

No cIOS is required!

Quick Start Guide

You must have an SD or USB device, even if you only want to play over the network. WiiMC’s core (MPlayer) requires a scratch area.

Unzip the archive’s contents directly to the root of your SD or USB device (FAT32 or NTFS)

Load WiiMC via HBC

SD cards and USB drives will show up automatically

Set up network shares in the Settings menu if you want to play media over the network (optional)

Set your subtitle encoding and language (optional)

Navigate and play your media files

ROXOPTR2 is a simple SDL-based helicopter game similar to its amazingly simple Python/Tkinter-based predecessor, rockopter. You steer the helicopter around obstacles using your arrow keys or (on the Wii) the D-pad on your primary WiiMote. Leaving the playing field or running into obstacles is fatal. Be sure to note that an obstacle might just look like an obstacle but actually allow you to pass.

Sand Traps is an original puzzle/platform game for Wii homebrew.

The objective of the game is to tilt the board using your wiimote, in order to guide the sand towards the green exit. In each level you need to save a certain percentage of the sand. If the sand ‘falls out’ of the board it is lost. If the sand touches the red stone it is also lost.

In some levels you can add new stone, and in some levels you can also remove it again so you can reuse it elsewhere.

GamesIndustry.biz Reports:

The latest firmware updates for Nintendo’s DS and Wii are reportedly preventing the function of many flashcarts and modifications designed to enable piracy and homebrew on the machines.

Officially the Nintendo DSi Menu Ver 1.4.1U update, which became available on Tuesday, is listed as “providing behind-the-scenes improvements to system performance” but many users of unsanctioned storage devices are claiming that the true intention of the update is to block the use of flashcarts.

Not all flashcarts have been affected, with the notorious R4 apparently escaping the fix, but many models have been disabled following the update.

The import, advertising and distribution of DS flashcarts was ruled to be illegal across the UK in July.

Wii homebrew users are also reporting that the Wii Menu 4.3U update has disabled some features which let them use unofficial homebrew material on the console.

The update itself warns customers that “if your Wii console includes unauthorized modifications this update may detect and remove unauthorized content causing immediate or delayed inoperability of your console” before they install it.

The reports follow hot on the heels of Sony’s recent 3.42 firmware release for the PlayStation 3, which prevents the controversial Jailbreak dongle, the first device to circumvent the PS3′s anti-piracy measures successfully, from working.

Updating firmware is optional, but many new software releases traditionally require the latest system software to function.

The Hague District Court has upheld a ruling on behalf of Nintendo against 11 retailers accused of the illegal selling of piracy chips and cartridges for the Wii and DS consoles.

Retailers had been importing and selling the piracy aids in the Netherlands, and the court also rejected the retailers claims that Nintendo was engaging in unfair competition.

Nintendo responds:

“Nintendo welcomes the decision by the Hague District Court to uphold its claim that 11 online retailers operating in the Netherlands have acted unlawfully vis-à-vis Nintendo by importing and selling game copiers for use with Nintendo DS and mod chips for use with Nintendo Wii,”

“These devices circumvent Nintendo’s technical measures designed to prevent software piracy. Nintendo also welcomes the decision by the Hague District Court to reject the online retailers’ defence that Nintendo has engaged in acts of unfair competition.”

Nintendo said it was acting on behalf of all its development and publishing partners, as well as upholding the quality and standards associated with legitimate Nintendo products.

“Nintendo protects its intellectual property rights globally and takes action to prevent the distribution of pirated software and devices that allow illegally downloaded software to be played. Nintendo takes this action not only for the company’s sake, but in the interests of its partners who spend time and money legitimately developing software for Nintendo videogame consoles and systems, and customers who expect the highest standards and integrity from products bearing the Nintendo name.”

GBATemp forum member, gridattack, updated us with his project “New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe!” NSMBD! is a hacked version of New Super Mario Bros. DS. NSMBD! recreates all of the levels from the 1985 NES original, Super Mario Bros. and also includes the Lost Levels (Which were featured on the SNES game, Super Mario Allstars) to run on the same engine and use the same graphics as the DS title.

Gridattack is saying that the game has fined tuned all of the problems that have been seen in the early videos (seen below) and added new levels. All of levels 1-6 should be available by December 24th, 2009 and maybe even ALL levels.

Check out the videos so far (most bugs or inconsistency’s with the original have been addressed and new videos will be posted as they arrive), also mute your speakers before watching any of the videos, you’ll thank me.
