Nintendo Download – August 30, 2012

Today’s Nintendo Download is either good news or bad news. For you 3DS owners, you have a wealth of options. For Wii lovers, you are left high and dry. DSi-only players are somewhere in the middle.

SpeedX 3D looks to be a good-looking tunnel racer that questions your instincts and concentration. Toki Tori is the 2001 classic Game Boy Color title, which was remade for WiiWare and other consoles a couple years ago. Outdoors Unleashed: Africa 3D is an arcade on-rails game that has you hunting animals, including poaching elephants (not sure how this one will go over). Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is a rhythm-based RPG title full of Final Fantasy music, and the free demo is available today. The final new game is the lone DSiWare title, Escape the Virus: Shoot ‘Em Up!, which is an action puzzler where you will be destroying viruses.

The only other thing worth mentioning is that Awolnation is coming back to the Nintendo 3DS starting August 31 with their stop-motion hit “Not Your Fault.” Stream it for free on the Nintendo Video app.
