Nintendo 3DS Photo Showcase is LIVE!

Maybe you have not noticed yet, but the Nintendo 3DS Photo Showcase is live. What is this, you ask? Put simply, it is a place to submit your 3D photos taken with your 3DS camera app.

In order to submit a photo, head to http://photoshowcase.nintendo.com (or scan the QR code provided below) from your 3DS internet browser. If your photo is chosen, you will be featured in the showcase. While some might prefer something like Instagram (iOS, Android), this is a different approach. Only the best photos, according to Nintendo’s judgement, will be shown. Think of this as a competition for the top photos. What this does, though, is cuts down on the bad or inappropriate photos one typically finds in other services.

To view photos, you have a couple different options. You can head to the Photo Showcase URL on your 3DS, or you can find a specific photo on your computer and scan the QR code with your 3DS to view that photo in 3D.

Will you be submitting photos to the 3DS Photo Showcase? If you get featured, be sure to let us know!

It is important to note that you can still upload any photo to your own Facebook photo album or even in our forums. Neither of those options have a featured showcase, so you can post all you want.

Scan the above QR code with your 3DS to head straight to the 3DS Photo Showcase.
