Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Coming to Wii U?

As reported earlier by IGN, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be released November 13, 2012 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Rumors have been circulating but this is the first definitive proof of a new Black Ops title. The photo above was sent to IGN by one of it’s readers, a Target pre-order card, and May 1st is the day the title is officially announced during the NBA playoffs, as shown on the franchise website.

Currently the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 are the only consoles the title is set to arrive on but if history has shown, it is highly likely that the title will release along with the Wii U. How will the Wii U’s new controller play into the game? With it’s motion control and touch screen capabilities, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 could be played very differently from it’s counter parts. Whether the control is implemented to it’s best abilities or is just ported with limited options, time will tell what Treyarch will do differently with this title on the Wii U,  if anything. Stay tuned for May 1st.

    You know, i saw this and wondered if maybe this meant it was not going to get a Wii release.  I’ve heard that the series doesn’t perform nearly as well on the Wii in terms of sales generally, and that it’s a lot more effort for the teams to port it to Wii since they design the CoD games w/ PS3 and 360 in mind, but that’s largely speculation.

    just fyi with the newest Tiger Woods 13 not coming out for the wii(due to loss of sales) they will be skipping this year and bringing out tiger woods 14 for the wiiU.  I have a feeling Black Ops 2 will do the same.  MW4 will be next COD game for Nintendo probably.  Just a  thought, but if the Tiger Woods thing is any indication of things to come for the wii this year i would bet that they will wait till next year

      There will be no MW4. Robert Bowling said that MW3 will be the last Modern Warfare. I hered Infinity Ward will be making a new sub-series within COD like they did with the Modern Warfare series.

    I Think that it is not fair the wii is not making a game! The game I speak of is COD Blackops 2! Is it fair, no it is not! Personally, I bet the wii sales are going to drop at least 50%! Why? Because wii is letting down millions of fans who are looking forward to playing the new COD Blackops2 game! If they don’t pull their act together, well then their just dead in the water!
