FIFA 12 (3DS) – Hands-On First Impressions

If you have read my game reviews before, you will notice that I enjoy a good sports video game. FIFA 12 is coming out on the Nintendo 3DS, and I got some hands-on time with it at E3 2011. While the game looks just all right in 2D mode, it really comes alive when you push up the 3D slider. In fact, I was not impressed while in 2D, as the game did not look much better than my copy of FIFA for Nintendo DS. However, once in 3D, I felt like I was in the stadium with the players. It added a sense of depth that I have never had with another soccer game, especially on a handheld device. The controls felt great with the circle pad, too. As of now, we have heard that EA is still not sure if they will include online for the 2012 outing. Let’s hope they do.

Below is a video of another guy playing the Street mode at E3. I apologize for the far-off view, but that was as close as I could get.
