It's hard to tell from the video, does it look better? Does it just smooth things out or does it actually look “up-res”?

Yeah, it smooths the edges a bit, and brightens the colors. That's all I can tell so far. I wish I had a way to capture HD video or at least record in HD, but alas…I do not have that ability.

I did have some sound issues (static), and I'm hoping to get another unit soon, assuming that is the issue. I'm holding off on the full review until I get that other unit.
