Calling – Wii Gameplay

Calling is an upcoming survival horror video game being developed by Hudson Soft exclusively for the Wii console. The game is set for a 2010 release in North America.

Plot
Shinichi Suzutani and Rin Kagura visit “The Black Page”, a mysterious website with only a counter that is said to show the number of people who have died after visiting the site. After entering a chatroom on the site, Shinichi and Rin are soon drawn into a strange void that lies between life and death and which manifests the memories of the dead. Using their cell phones, the two must try and escape from it.

Gameplay
From a first-person perspective, players explore the void which manifests haunted locations such as houses, schools and hospitals. Players use the Wii Remote’s pointer function to interact with objects. The controller also acts as a cell phone in which ghosts speak to the player via the speaker. In addition, the player can also use the phone to warp around to different locations, as well as take pictures.

The ghosts also confront the player in featured “fright events”. Players have to fight the ghosts off by swinging the Wii Remote and following button commands.

    the plot sounds ALOT like the movie trilogy “Pulse” xD but i did like those movies.

    @FourTails

    Pulse was more based on “Loneliness” – You die from being alone.

    I see it more along the lines of the One Missed Call trilogy (there are 3 parts to the Asian version, not including the US remake). Trust me, I know my horror movies (and games).
