Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth – 15 Min. Gameplay + Reviews

Nintendo Life – 90
Sure the game is a bit predictable at times and there aren’t as many modern Castlevania conveniences as some might hope for, but at its core, this is yet another extremely playable and enjoyable 2D Castlevania experience and when it comes right down to it, there could never be too much of that for diehard fans of the series, new or old.
Cheat Code Central – 90
Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth is just about everything an old-school fan could hope for, and it’s probably the best title in the ReBirth series thus far.

Konami has done Wii owners a big favor with this “ReBirth” line of games, with its “Castlevania” title being the best of them all. As long as you don’t mind the more straightforward progression and the absence of RPG elements, this is a highly recommended Wiiware download.

That design flaw and the synth-y soundtrack are my only real problems with Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth. Otherwise, it’s a great game (superb, even) and is sure to satisfy any and all people who like this sort of thing.

Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth is loaded with traditional old style pre-Symphony of the Night gameplay and elements, and while it’s not the best that the series has to offer, it’s certainly worth the time and ten dollar entry fee if you’re a fan of the original action format in which the series began.
Gaming Age – 75
All together, it’s not a bad way to spend $10, despite not being the perfect return to roots that I was hoping for. If nothing else, it’s a viable way to get a small revival out of traditional Castlevania, something that can stand alone from the “Metroidvania” titles that have dominated the series for quite some time.
1UP – 67
If nothing else, this is the best game ever to carry the title Castlevania: The Adventure. And that alone is worth the asking price.
