Zelda Wii sequel confirmed for 2010 January 6, 2010
Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata told Japan’s Asahi Shimbun newspaper that the Wii Zelda sequel will be released this year. Not many details were given, but it is likely that the company will keep a lid on things until E3.
Among Iwata’s announcement was confirmation of Vitality Sensor games coming in July with the hopes of releasing the product itself as soon as possible.
Perhaps the biggest announcement, however, was that of the successor to the DS handheld system. Iwata told the newspaper that the DS successor would focus more on high resolution screens (or perhaps just one screen) and feature motion sensing technology that would actually sense a player’s movement. Iwata didn’t elaborate on the feature, however.
