Game Freak hiring people with experience in 3D modeling… for Pokemon? October 6, 2009

A listing on Game Freak’s website shows they are looking for people with experience in 3D modeling. As many of you know, Game Freak creates games for Nintendo, most notably the Pokemon handheld games. This listing doesn’t however confirm this is for a Pokemon game… or does it? A separate part of their website details more about a career with the company and shows the above image, which looks to be a 3D model of the Pokemon Lugia.

The interesting thing to note is that Game Freak has only worked on the handheld Pokemon games and the recent console Pokemon games, like Pokemon Battle Revolution, were made by Genius Sorority. It was leaked that a new Pokemon game is coming to Wii, but Game Freak wouldn’t be working on that. So is this a different Pokemon game? Whatever it is, we can be sure there will be plenty of Pokemon in our future.
