Space Invaders 2 – Coming in October to DS

Square-Enix has announced that Space Invaders Extreme 2 will be released for DS on 2 October.

The Final Fantasy publisher is promising that the action will be more extreme than ever for the sequel. Once again it will combine the essence of the original with modern visuals, audio and a new range of power-ups.

As ever, your aim is to get on the high score table but developer Taito has produced plenty of new features including new stages, enhanced Battle Play, a new beginner’s course, a new Time Attack mode and a Bingo system which has you lighting up the squares as you clear rounds.

There’s also a wide range of new power-ups and you can use them against a friend with DS Wireless Play, DS Download Play and online via Wi-Fi Connection.
