Contra Rebirth – Coming to WiiWare Sept. 7 in North America

According to IGN, the rebirth of Contra will be hitting our Wii Shop Channel this coming Monday.

September 3, 2009 – Third-party Konami revealed Thursday that Contra Rebirth will debut for Nintendo’s WiiWare service on Monday, September 7 in America. The title, available for 1,000 Wii Points, pays homage to the classic run-and-gun side-scrolling series with a stylized retro look and gameplay mechanics all-too familiar to those who grew up with the franchise.
