Modern Warfare 2 Could Come To Wii

Activision, please print out the above photo and hang it in your office when developing the Wii version, and say to yourself “we will push this console to the limits and we will put in the time and energy into creating this game like we did for the other consoles”.

The soon to be feeding frenzy that is “Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2″ is coming out on EVERY system (EVEN THE DS!)… except the Wii.

However, Activision at GC 09 has said that if Modern Warfare, which was just announced a few days ago that it will be appearing on the Wii, does well on the we they’ll most likely want to bring Modern Warfare 2 to the Wii as well.

What do you guys think? Are they bringing these Call of Duty games to the Wii because “they have to” for money and not to upset Wii owners? It’s quite clear with all other attempts they spend 90% of their budget on the other systems, then rush through low texture, bad multiplayer, questionable controls, with their Wii attempts. Speaking of hardware, Metroid was a FPS and looked and played amazing. Medal of Honor 2 is the same genre of FPS made a year ago and looked and played great on the Wii. With the introduction of Wii Motion Plus and the fact that the Wii is coming up on it’s 3rd birthday I want my Wii to have smoke coming out of it due to the processors being pushed to the brink. Step it up 3rd party devs…

    The fact of the matter is that third-party “hardcore games” just don’t sell well on wii. No More Heroes didn’t sell well, the Medal of Honor games didn’t sell well, Madworld didn’t sell well, and The Conduit didn’t sell well. I doubt this would be any different.

    Well I have Call of Duty World at War on my Wii and I find it very fun. When looking for Call of Duty 4 on Wii, I was sad to see that only CoD WaW was out on Wii as CoD 4 was a higher seller. As many people are wanting to buy Modern Warfare 2 because of it’s brand new style of game play and the more detail, it would be very good to find such a great game on all console (Including Wii). I have a PC and I play both CoD 4 and CoD WaW on it, they are both very fun, but when you play on Wii it makes the game feel more real. Sniping on CoD WaW on Wii is very good as you need to keep a steady aim as you would in real life. Personally I find it more fun if it is more realistic, and so it would be very good if Modern Warfare 2 could be released on Wii as it makes the “Warfare” experience more realistic and there aren’t a lot of FPS (First Person Shooter) games on Wii and so I would be very thankful is such a great game looking game like Modern Warfare 2 would be released on Wii. Thankyou

    I lately got a Wii, and i thank CoD: WaW was great except because the game was too short. I’m waiting each seconds to release the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1 for Wii and I hope, that Infinity Ward releases the Modern Warfare 2 for Wii. They say Wii doesn’t have good graphics and they won’t release for Wii, but I DON’T CARE, I got my Wii after 1 year dreaming I won’t sell it to buy a XBOX 360.

    Ok why not bring it to wii? i have a few reasons why u should.
    1. The game play would be more realistic. You can use a real friken gun (which i find it is more fun then a stupid controler) You other systems can keep ur grapics while we have alright grapics with something that actualy makes u feel like ur their in the war insted of sitting in ur livingroom.
    2. COD5 was already out on the wii. Why not continue to release it?
    3. GRAPHICS ARE NOT THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD!!!
    4. if they wanted to make even more money they could bring it out on wii
    5. The wii can handle a lot more then you think
    6. the game does not sell well? Im pretty sure games like harry potter don’t sell well and some one decides to keep releasing them. Not every game you are going to make will sell well

    Nives, to a lot of people, graphics ARE everything. Even you would agree, a game with shit house graphics would not be good. Also, if you had played the game on a PS3 or XBOX you would know that it does feel like your in the game, regardless of the remote your using. COD5 also has NOTHING to do with Modern warefare 2, so the story would mean nothing.

    yeah the gun is good on the wii for playing on it but xbox and playstation are far better wii with its crappy graphics or xbox and playstation with amazing graphics and even better on HD and its annoying when people use the “yeah but you have to pay for xbox live” thing we pay for a reason the things we have on there like twitter, facebook, last fm, zune, sky, avatar marketplace, video marketplace and game market place is one thing the rest is we pay so they can get more money to make xbox live even allowing us to get the new things like sky and also xbox are getting a little sensor bar so we dont need a controller too. there is also downloadable content and map packs for xbox and playstation and all the time i have had call of duty on my wii there is not even a single map pack. xbox and playstation are more of a main game company while they had playstation 1 and 2 and the old xbox nintendo even though a few are good consoles like ds lite and ds i which i play alot had things like gamecube and gameboy still they are all good consoles but call of duty are much better on xbox and playstation for the things you get with them like downloadable content better online play (MORE ONLINE MATCHES THAN WII) and loads of fun

    I got Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex for the Wii and I think it was the best proper game I have got for the Wii. The graphics were just as good as the PS3 and the only let down was the multiplayer as the online play had me go up against a load of plant pots who did not realise the aim of the game. I think that if Activision and Infinity Ward got their act together and created a good split-screen multiplayer it could turn out to be an amazing game.

    I agree with nives. Look at the any older system, most of their graphics aren’t very good. I’m fine as long as they are close. Also, the Wii is more reliable than certain systems. I have never heard of any problems with the Wii system. NOTE: the overheating wii conrtoller charger doesn’t count.

    Well I think they should make Warfare 2 on the wii. I mean why not there are lots of games with such good graphics on wii like The Conduit. And by the way the graphics on the wii isn’t that bad, they should probably make a Nintendo Wii i with better graphics.

    back to B’s Dad, no sadly other game ports cannot share any game play online with different gameports, you can only play with other players who have access to a wii on wi-fi. Also, define game? are you referring to the series of Call of duty games, or to call of duty modern warfare 2? modern warfare 2 hasnt come out but a Call of duty modern warfare Reflex, or a Call of duty world at war has. I would recommend buying those 2. Now the graphics arent all great to the superior ps3,pc,and xbox 360, but its a large upgrade to wii fans,and will pack a large interest and fun to newcomers who purchase this for the wii. I myself love call of duty world at war for wii, which concludes i will buy modern warfare reflex sometime next week. so think about it, if your on a tight budget or dont want to spend 300 dollars on a ps3, stick with the wii, its fun, inexpensive, and will support many popular games from ps3 and xbox 360 with all the gameplay still contained with it.

    hello to all you gamers. this is my opinion, but i honestly thing that this game should be compatable witht the gamecube controller or that classic controller cause sometimes when im playing a shooting game, my arm gets tired when i play a lot (might not happen to you, maby for others).

    I agree with you, but you seem forget that the Conduit had horrible storyline and campaign mode, which sent you on missions to kill random aliens for no reason, and most people who bought it realized this and returned the game.

    Medal of Honor is a well known and popular game, yet its theme and style have been WAY overdone. Wii users are looking for new experiences and don’t wish to play old, dry stuff like that.

    Sorry, but Ive never even heard of No More Heroes. And if I (emphasis on “I” because I play every fps there is)haven’t heard of it, Im 100% sure there was enough ads for it and not many others knew of it either.

    The only game i cant speak for is Mad world, which i didn’t buy because i thought it looked stupid. A dude with a chainsaw arm? That’s like the movie where the girl’s leg was blown up and it was replaced with an M16.

    Another note, they made Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for the Wii, so why not Modern Warfare 2?. The first one pwns and it has great controls and graphics. I know they can do it, they are just wimping out on us. I used to be a huge fan of Nintendo until they started making almost all of their games for 6 year-olds and their grandmas. I got the Wii because I figured that it would take us closer to a system of gaming where you are actually in the game, or at least can act like it.

    3. your hardly going to aim with the wii remote, it would feel stupid.

    Graphics aren’t everything. If a game has teriffic graphics but horrble gameplay, online, and campaign no one will like it and everyone will return it. What matters more is how fun the game is. Red steel had great graphics for the wii but it still sucked. If IW makes Modern Warfare 2 for wii they shouldn’t just port it. It shold be te same but actually be built ground up like World at War. IW is’t doing anything right now.

    I’ve asked myself for the longest why Nintendo’s consoles were left out of the loop while Playstation and XBox systems got all the good games. The only solution I’ve come up with is the graphics issue. Sadly, graphics for systems are like the media for music; even if hip-hop is alive, all they’ll show you is the stuff that sells — rap. Generic, violent, pointless rap.

    Mind you, that’s my favorite kind of music, but they’ve chosen sides when Talib Kweli is overlooked for Lil Wayne.

    In the same sense, fun games designed for Wii dont have the public glamor in mind as the other systems do. However, it’s that very glamor that sells. I personally disliked the Prototype game, as it felt like a few games before its time. But the pretty graphics will always, ALWAYS cause it to turn more heads than Super Smash Bros Brawl.

    It’s the sad truth.

    Therefore, games will probably sell more if they go for what the media can hype up to the eye-candy-loving audience. That’s how money is made.

    Hopefully, Nintendo’s next-gen system will get with the program and combine new ideas with some competitive graphics and stop treating their graphics cards like the stepdaughter without a glass slipper.

    Stupid Nintendo… if I didn’t hack my Wii, I’d have sold it so very long ago.

    I have a cheaped Xbox 360 and a new wii. I think it should be good if they put the years game on wii, as seem of thé graphiq are terrible and that it yhake 25 minutes to turn. Of 180*. Multiplater expérience is good on Xbox, and i lové thé one on cod 4 wii, so it should be funy and more in thé game if activision should do is part on that document! I think that m’y expérience of gamer and 54 games on Xbox cheaped should take very well the wifi expérience, but i understand that they pût mote enefgy on thé 300$ CAN console. Thé only thing i dont understand is that wii sell more game and accessoties than Xbox ps3! And that they want thinkibg to there head because they pit 90% budjet on others consoles! WII should take more that they thinking for!

Modern Warfare & World at war are awesome (i have got them both) but modern warfare two would be way better.     I would liek to disagree with some people. Graphics don’t make a game. Look at the Atari. LOW LOW graphics. 8-bit (i think). The Atari is on eof the best gaming systems ever. The games are fun to play. (except E.T) Pitfall GREAT GREAT GAME. then what about the NES. Punchout, mario, duck hunt all GREAT games and they didnt have HD super great graphics. They had great gameplay and that is what sold them. So you do not need super good grapics for a game all you need is good gameplay. (although some graphics are ok XD)

    I think what makes a game good (and many of you will agree with me on this)is how realistic it is.Some things that help how realistic a game is are graphics, meaningful storyline and… well, how about a gun?

    The realism that wii fps bring to the table are truly amazing. Actually shooting at the screen and seeing that figure fall to the ground is far more epic than toying around with a silly joystick and L/R buttons. So before you doubt the wii, consider this and think to yourself, what would be more EPIC?

    But I wish they would make it so it is not just laughed at with its graphics and its absolutely horrible 2 player system. I have bought both the call of duty world at war and modern warfare for the wii and they are addictingly fun online(shauuun), but online is the only thing to play once you’ve finished the campaign due to not being able to go head to head against your friends because the multiplayer mode is having your friend struggle to shoot with little pointer.

    So in end result I just wish activision could give wii what it right fully diserves if they do make a modern warfare 2

    Graphics dont make a game. MW: Reflex didn’t have the best graphics but it was still a great game. Wii haters need 2 get a life. I doubt any of them have actually played a wii, or they would know the graphics arent that bad.     Well I think we’re stuck with all the crap games, my mates can’t stop canning me about the wii how the graphics are bad.
    Well if thats all the PS3 and 360 have got going for it is it’s graphics i’m most happy to keep the wii with its realistic gameplay. Anyway when your playing the game,graphics is one of the last things you notice so i reckon MW2 would be great on wii as i have both Cod:WAW and MW1 which i both found brilliant apart from squadmate mode which FAILED!

I am a married adult with kids so I can’t afford to by two or three new systems so I got the WII because I thought my kids would get more use out of it. That said I still enjoy fps games.     1.1 million copys on the wii?
    And Modern Warfare Reflex is selling very quickly on wii aswell.
    So how exactly are they losing money in that situation?
    If MW2 came out on wii it would outsell
    MW Reflex and WaW put together , only due to the fact that it is in such high demand not to mention a great game!

    yeah wii would be cool it would be REALLY cool if they made it for PS2. they are pretty much in the dump now because they dont feel like ps2 should be made. it basically has the same format, it just is 1 or 2 different parts that apparently make all the difference.

    i found out the reason why mw2 isn't on the wii yet.it's because the graphics are incredebly messed up[5000000000000 times worse than the ds]there in the middle of fixing the graphics there trying to restore the graphics to their normal wii state.

    I got mwr 4 the wii too. its awesome. everyone says ohh it suks on the wii but they dont know anything. its awesome on the ps3 but its good on the wii too. so people should get this game. (Reflex edition)
