Modern Warfare 2 Could Come To Wii

Activision, please print out the above photo and hang it in your office when developing the Wii version, and say to yourself “we will push this console to the limits and we will put in the time and energy into creating this game like we did for the other consoles”.

The soon to be feeding frenzy that is “Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2″ is coming out on EVERY system (EVEN THE DS!)… except the Wii.

However, Activision at GC 09 has said that if Modern Warfare, which was just announced a few days ago that it will be appearing on the Wii, does well on the we they’ll most likely want to bring Modern Warfare 2 to the Wii as well.

What do you guys think? Are they bringing these Call of Duty games to the Wii because “they have to” for money and not to upset Wii owners? It’s quite clear with all other attempts they spend 90% of their budget on the other systems, then rush through low texture, bad multiplayer, questionable controls, with their Wii attempts. Speaking of hardware, Metroid was a FPS and looked and played amazing. Medal of Honor 2 is the same genre of FPS made a year ago and looked and played great on the Wii. With the introduction of Wii Motion Plus and the fact that the Wii is coming up on it’s 3rd birthday I want my Wii to have smoke coming out of it due to the processors being pushed to the brink. Step it up 3rd party devs…

    Yes, I think Activision should release a Modern Warfare 2 for the Wii. I dont know why they release it for ever other console and not the Wii. It doesn't make sense to have it on the NDS and not the Wii because the Wii gets better graphics and the NDS's graphic's are pretty much undistinguishable. Activision is showing favortism towards the other consoles and this is completely unfair. I have enjoyed playing Modern Warfare Reflex and I had fun beating the campain and unlocking everything in the multiplayer. But honestly I hoped for a little more effort in the game. I've found over 20 glitches and I'm pretty sure I will find more.

    The wii sucks lol. If they released modern warfare 2 on the wii the akimbo feature would suck because the controllers aren't parralel. The lag would suck big time and it would almost be impossible to kill people with painkiller. Sleight of hand pro would be useless for sniping because on wii you can't quick scope by swinging the cross hairs. FUCK THE WII

    if we can play call of duty with a stylus on a DS, i think that making the classic controller an option would be easy. the classic controller pro just came out too. that would make it better. just a thought

    I have been checking day in and day out for updates regarding the next modern warfare for wii…seems like every month that goes by there is new info emerging!!! I cant wait for this game to arrive…I am a wii owner and I have COD:MWR and it is the best game I have for my wii…It is awesome…Fareness among the gameing industry is alot to ask for…who knows when we will see that day…I will definitely be buying COD:MW2 the day it is released for the the wii…it already sucks having to wait an additional whole year for it since the release on the other systems…wii is always last and it sucks…but now xbox is releasing a new add on for their system called “project natal” which could blow the wii out of the water with its motion sensing controller-less technology…so if other company's are already following in the wii's footsteps why is the wii being outcast and overlooked when it comes to awesome games…i know that nintendo will bring a powerhouse system to the market in the coming years and up the anney with its graphics processors to put more competition among the xbox and playstation markets…all in all i think that the wii needs more focus when it come to blockbuster games because im not running out and buying a xbox or playstation just for great games like COD…WII OWNERS WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE ALL OTHERS…PUSH THE WII TO ITS MAX!!!

    Also i would love it even more if they went on with MW3 and many others. This game rocks and i don’t think ppl should b put on limits for what games they can play and for what system. I think that any game made, wether MW or even somethin like Mario, should b made on every system. So bring on MW2 for Wii and Keep em comin.

    Make Modern Warfare 2 for the Wii and people will buy it! Why is it so hard for you people not to make the game if millions of people who only have the Wii are begging for it? You will make a plentiful profit, many people happy, and are more likely to continue making more games. The only reason I would see that you would not make MW2 for the Wii is if you are in league with Xbox360/PS3 and making people buy those systems if they want to play CoD. If you are, that is just plain sick!

    i agree with war maniac, you will probably lose some customers while your at it cause im in middle school and cod is a big hit and not one person doesn't play it or has played it. i played cod mw2 on every system except for wii and the graphics and everything else might not be as good but alot of people will spend $50 on a game then $250 on a new system and game.

      The Wiimote HAS bluetooth, so does the Wii, that's why you have sync buttons on the Wiimote and Wii console. They could utilize that same tech for a headset to connect directly to the Wii and charge via USB OR, like the Wii motionplus, have a nunchuk port that allows nunchuk connectivity, with the headset connected in, similar to the 360's chatpad connecting through the mic port and extending the mic's port to still have a wired headset.

    Listen I like the wii i think the graphics and game play are great the wii is diffrent it is more difficult to play modern warfare than on any other systyem and me personally I like a challenge but what made reflex was the online multiplayer if modern warfare 2 does not have online play you guys wont make any money it wll crash and burn i play modern warfare reflex every night all night it is addicting so if you guys do it DO IT RIGHT “ONLINE MULTIPLAYER” hope you make the right choice and hope I get to own another call of duty!!!!

      In the same way COD:MW1&2 were released next to the home console brethren at the same time, but the more powerful Nintendo console (Wii vs DS) had no love whatsoever. Even with different developers building the games on the DS, Tyrearch does a good job improving on each Wii iteration, so MW2 should've released alongside the other platforms, as COD3 did back in 2006.

    I have played MW2 on the PS3 at my friends house and it is awsome. We need it for the Wii. I like play modern warfare with the wii zaper much better than the ps3 controler. I also agree with whom ever said that when the Wii does come out with MW2 that it need multi play on the net and with either blue tooth or a head set so you can chat with your friends. Please build this game soon!

      Wii Speak is closest, though a bluetooth headset would be great with a simple Wii update, have a headset connect at the Wii menu underneath or above the wiimote icons. That'd be a great and simple solution to Wii Speak. Also, I have COD:MW for Wii and COD:MW2 for 360, I truly believe the Wii could do MW2 as it's doing pretty well with MW. MW2 can be fixed up on the Wii to have even fewer problems than MW, as each COD title on the Wii seems to improve upon each release. Hopefully Tyrearch will make MW2 for the Wii, they did such a good job (with some noticeable sacrifices) on the Wii, although it still has IW's copyright logos.

      When it was Nintendo's cute little white console's success with motion control that brought Microsoft and Sony to simply COPY the ideas, very original. The Wii is already ahead anyway, those peripherals are not the MAIN controls as the Wiimotes are, they're PERIPHERALS made very late in their consoles' lifespan, so don't expect the same motion control success as the Wii. Tough shit.

    i would like mw2 on wii. i love mwr. sure the graphics dont stand up to the ps3/360 but with the motion controllers (point and shoot) it gives the game a more realistic feel. cant wait for black ops on wii… id accually prefer to have black ops over mw2.

      ok first off obviously ur info is way off. second, ur just a fanboy that hates everybody thats better than u. now i hav a wii and i hav cod4 (mw1) and black ops for it and i absolutely LOVE it. now granted the graphics arent as good and some stuff is cut out due to, again, lack of graphic capability. but let me tell u something, i also hav a ps3 and fyi i like the wii better. pretty much the only reason i got a ps3 was to play with my best friend. i remember playing countless hrs on cod4 wii and i had a blast. this includes black ops wii. the ps3 is great and all, but the gameplay just isnt as fun. sure go ahead and say that the wii is for babies, but babies always seem to hav more fun than adults.

    U can buy it at walmart or gamestop, but Black ops on the wii is going to be awesome cause it is going to be released with the xbox 360 version, so there is going to be a killcam, DLC, RAM more players at a time, 2 – 18 players on the wii, and all the perks, gamemodes/patches, all the levels, all the weapons and all the multiplayers maps, i’m buying Black ops for my black wii and for my black xbo360, the game “black” ops goes with the color of the console,:)

    Well think about it dude. Modern Warfare one and World at War are exceptions. They are nowhere near as graphically advanced or gameplay advanced as MW2. There are just too many maps, too good of settings, and too many weapons, unlockables, attachments, etc. If they were to make it, they would ahev to down almost EVERYTHING. It wouldn’t even be the same game anymore. Just a shell of it’s badass original. I think they should just make a Call of Duty exclusively for Wii so the PS3 and 360 can kiss our asses.

    They need to put in the headbanger headset and classic controller pro,too. Now most Wii fps shooters start to use it , but only because of the pro version. Also the Wii version of MW2 can’t have every thing. So here is a list of what it maybe can have
    -all weapons
    -all perks
    -full or most of campaign
    -spec ops
    -uav,counter uav,care package, emergency care package, stealth bomber,pavelow,sentry gun,airstrike
    -all attachments
    -If TREYARCH ports it, which is most likely, they say they push the Wii engine every year to it’s limits, so this year, (if it comes out this year) they will push a lot more and MAYBE have the nuke

      now c this is wht ppl dont understand. when nintendo created the wii, they were targeting the  ”family”. now with the new wii U coming out nintendo is targeting the “hardcore” players, such as myself. the wii is a great system for family games i.e. wii sports, wii fit, dance games, etc… the reason that the graphics suck on cod for wii is bcuz cod was originally made for the xbox, ps3, and pc. which were for hardcore gamers. the wii is not a bad console, it just wasnt made for hardcore FPS games like cod.
