Capcom Teams with Nintendo
Capcom will be working with Nintendo for the overseas release of Monster Hunter 2, which hit Japan last week and sold over 500,000 units in its first two days. Nintendo will make use of its experience in selling Pokemon to promote the Capcom title.
In Japan, Capcom will be giving the Wii one of its biggest upcoming titles, the historical action slasher Sengoku Basara 3. This is the third numbered installment in the series that’s known as Devil Kings in the West. In Japan, the series is extremely popular, with Capcom frequently making note of the appeal the game has with female audiences.
Sengoku Basara 3 was announced a couple of weeks back, but without any information about platform. Capcom still hasn’t made official platform announcement for the game, and in response to the Nikkei report only said that it would make public announcements about its products when it deemed appropriate.
IGN UK presumes the appropriate time will come closer to the Tokyo Game Show in late September.
