Reggie: Be Patient, The Wii Vitality Sensor Will “Wow” You

Reggie Fils-Aime says:

“Until you have that software, it’s tough to understand,[The Wii Vitality Sensor]”

“If I told you that you would be standing on an oversized bathroom scale, and having fun doing it, you probably would have said, ‘Reggie, I don’t get it.’ And yet here we are with the balance board arguably as the third largest development platform across the globe.”

“Eventually, you will say “Wow, I get it.[The Wii Vitality Sensor]“

The whole point of this pulse-monitoring device, Reggie says, is finding a new audience, one “who hasn’t yet been compelled with the first-person shooter, or an action side-scrolling adventure, or a fitness game.”

Side-Scrollers? Like what? I can’t think of any that have been worth while, or any at all for that matter…

Unless they had the word “Mario” on it, I’ve drawn a huge blank.

However, many First Person Shooters which have been decent for the most part. And… as for those… fitness…things. Yeah, I won’t bother leaving any input for that.

In the end, I’m not convinced. What can they do with something that… reads your pulse? phail/10

Reggie keeps on finding new ways to make me want to cry. You hit the nail on the head, Ellie.

From what they said in the E3 press conference about using it to help you relax and sleep sounds cool there is a lot of stress and sh!t now a days it will be cool too see what other ways they use it I mean people still haven’t figured out how to use the wii balance board other than skating, snowboarding, and exercise games

    @ Hermocrates: Thanks :)

@ Monstro328: …No. “Sensors” typically do not function as prescription drugs. And as for the balance board, that could possibly be because there IS no other use for that “innovative” overpriced weightscale… Remember, technology is only as innovative as it’s uses :D

Vitality sensor would be great for scary games. Imagin that the sensor can sense ur pulse to see how scared u are!!! It would be great for lots of games!
