  • Mentally he was at the level of a 10 years old boy.

What are you talking about? All that is bull crap, that's a hater comment. Michael Jackson was an innocent man, anyone who doesn't see that is ignorant. Mostly because anyone who believes that he molested children obviously saw the tabloids and were like, "OMG WOW. MJ MOLESTED A CHILD! WHAT A FREAK!" Yeah. Smart thing to do, believe tabloids. Do you research and you'll find that he's innocent. Everyone i speak to these days says hes guilty, and has nothing to back it up. Michael was the most talented man in this world, hands down. And I feel weird leaving this comment on this website, but whatever.
  • I agree. So far the media seems to be doing well too, focusing mostly on his impact on music entertainment. His influence on pop music will probably be continue for a long long time.

I hope the majority of our nation is of the same mind set as yourself (and myself) suburb... in my opinion, everyone needs to remember the charities that Michael gave incredible amounts to... but first and foremost everyone needs to remember the awesome music and entertainment he provided. For any of us to judge someone on things we only know from mass media is a sad mistake, not to say I don't think he was innocent or guilty, I think it's irrelevant. He was/is the greatest entertainer in the world in my opinion, and that's really all that matters... now to throw on the Thriller album and experience sadness while listening to it for a change. The king is dead, long live the king.
  • A guy on Reddit said it really well:

"Michael Jackson was a tragically sad individual.

Say what you want, the man was severely abused as a child, and went on to retreat completely into his fantasy world, where he'd never have to grow up or face what happened to him. His wealth allowed him to surround himself with yes-people who never questioned him, and never encouraged him to seek help. He alienated the people who truly cared about him, because they reminded him of his hurtful, negative past.

The real tragedy came when he went on to perpetuate the cycle of abuse with other children, whom he did truly, truly love ... but not in an age-appropriate manner. On another site I saw someone mention that he really saw himself as a child, which is quite true. MJ wanted so desperately to be a child again, that he fell in love with everything about young children.

I'm not defending pedophilia, I find what he did to be wrong and not at all appropriate ... but the only thing I can find myself feeling about his whole situation is sadness.

He was an extraordinarily talented individual, and it's sad that all of the allegations and atrocities that came out of the 90's will eclipse all of that. He gave us some industry-changing music, some of the best pop-music of all time.

This whole situation is just really, really awful.

"A willow deeply scarred, / Somebody's broken heart, / And a washed-out dream. / They follow the pattern of / The wind, you see, / Cause they've got no place / To be / That's why I'm starting with me ..."
