Super Monkey Ball has been on everything from the N-Gage to the iPhone at this point, so why not the Wii Balance Board? If a recent trademark turns out to be accurate, then it may well be coming to Nintendo’s peripheral.

A trademark has appeared at the US Patent and Trademark Office for Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll, a title which would make use of the Wii Balance Board. Super Monkey Ball has been closely associated through Nintendo’s platforms throughout its history, making its original console debut on the GameCube.

The first Super Monkey Ball title to arrive on the Wii was titled Banana Blitz, and we gave it a B- in our review. If Step & Roll is indeed real, we’ll see if whether it fares any better.
