DSi Launch Interview with Cammie Dunnaway

It has been a couple weeks since the DSi launch event in California, but we wanted to share 1-Up’s interview with Nintendo’s Cammie Dunnaway.  In it, she explains the future of Nintendo of America and the DSi — including possibilities for a Nintendo Channel on the DSi, downloadable demos, Club Nintendo rewards, and much more.

Right now, we’re focusing on the Nintendo Channel as the primary source for getting demos as well as the Nintendo Zone that we’re placing in various spots; we’re getting ready to do a test with one of our major retailers. So that will be another place where people can go and get demos, similar to the DS Download Stations that we have out there now. And I think that with DSiWare, one of the features that we’re focused on is making it very affordable, so if you’re only paying two dollars, I don’t know if you really need a demo, because the barrier’s pretty low to just try something new out.
