IGN Video Interview

Why did the Dead Space Extraction game developers go with creating a “Guided First Person Experience” on the Wii, rather than a free-roaming first-person shooter? To “maximize the visual fidelity you see on screen,” according to the game’s Executive Producer, Steve Papoutsis.

Steve also points out some of the unique gameplay found in Dead Space like “zero-g, branching paths, camera control”. Drop-in/drop-out 2-player gameplay is supported as well.

Watch for Dead Space Extraction on the Wii in fall 2009.
