Nintendo officially reveals the Pokemon Arceus

Any Pokemon fan would have known of the existance of the Pokemon Arceus (#493) for a long time now, but Nintendo never officially announced it. Well, the latest CoroCoro magazine has begun to leak and it seems that Nintendo has now confirmed its existance (though nobody doubted it), as you can see above. Arceus is the last 4th generation Pokemon to be revealed and as expected, it will make its debut in the 12 Pokemon movie. Players will be able to obtain it in their Diamond/Pearl/Platinum games in Japan in July, which is when the 12th movie releases in Japan. When do players in the US get Arceus? Well, first we need to get the 11th movie (Giratina and the Sky Warrior), which premieres this Friday on Cartoon Network.
This is the beginning of the CoroCoro leaks, and we should be getting more Pokemon information over the next few days, including some information on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky. And on a slightly-related note, I wanted to remind everyone that you can get the Pokemon Shaymin from Toys “R” Us stores only this week. And if you do obtain Shaymin, you’ll be able to see it in its Sky Forme on March 22nd when Pokemon Platinum releases in the US. Make sure you get Shaymin this week!
