XSEED Games announced today that Retro Game Challenge for the Nintendo DS has officially gone gold and will ship to retail outlets nationwide starting on February 10th.

Playing as a young boy living in the golden era of gaming, the 1980’s, complete a variety of short, but difficult, challenges in a quest to defeat the evil Game Master Arino. As each level is defeated, the challenges get harder and harder. Use in-game magazines to find cheat codes to help you advance as well as fake 80s news stories and pieces of gaming history.

    I played the Japanese version of this game and it was great. I'll have to get the US version because I could not beat the Japanese one. The RPG that you play at the end of the game I just could not get through since I had no idea what all the people were saying :P
