In the Mushroom Kingdom one sunny day there was a contest to count the number of 1-UP mushrooms that Mario had put into a clear jar for safe keeping.

Yoshi guessed 27
Daisy guessed 26
King Boo guessed 23
Petey Piranha guessed 20
Toadsworth guessed 25.

One was off by 1, two were off by 2, one was off by 5, and one was correct.

What was the correct number of 1-UP mushrooms in Mario’s jar?
