Want to join the podcast crew? January 15, 2009

Hey everyone, DarkWish here. I know I’ve basically been absent from the site for the past month or so, but I’ve been busy working and with other things. Well, now I’m back and I hope to be more a part of the site than ever. The big project that I created for WiiNintendo was its podcast, known as “The Wii-kly Fuse”. I don’t know how many of you actually listened to it or not, but trust me when I say we have listened to your feedback. The podcast is going through some big changes and we hope that it’ll be better than ever. I realize that the past few podcasts have not been put up on the site, and they will be put up over the next few days hopefully.
The Wii-kly Fuse Podcast will now once again be led by me, however it will now be a co-leadership with Charmy, who is a part of the podcast crew. The two of us have decided that in order to start with the changes, we need a new podcast crew. If you would like to join us for the podcasts, then you can do so if you fit the following requirements:
- Must be relatively knowledgeable about the latest Nintendo news
- Must download Skype (free on Skype.com) for use during the podcast
- Submit a short description of why you think you would be good for the podcast crew
The only other requirement is that if you get into the podcast crew, you have to register on WiiFuse (the WiiNintendo forums). That is where we will communicate and organize the podcast. Familiarity with WiiNintendo and the members here would be nice, but it is by no means a requirement. If you were in the podcast crew, you are strongly encouraged to apply though there is no guarantee that you may get in. All submissions must be sent to darkwish120@gmail.com and they will be looked at by Charmy and I. We are going to accept around 2 or 3 people so that we can have a total podcast crew of 4 or 5 people. Just because you don’t get in doesn’t mean you can’t ever be in the podcast. There may be times when we look for guests to join us for the podcast, so you could always be asked to appear as a guest if we feel like that would be a good thing.
The new, revised changes mean that we will make the podcast more fun to listen to and we will try and improve on our interactive part of the podcast. For those that don’t know, we tried doing a live stream of the podcast and got the thoughts of readers in a chat that we could discuss in the podcast. However, no one really showed up because the podcast was done late at night. Charmy and I are looking at a better time earlier in the day (probably afternoon or early evening) so that we can have more people participate than ever.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to email me or post a comment on this topic. I look forward to the improved podcast, and I hope to hear from many of you!
