IGN: WordJong Party Review

We liked WordJong on DS, and WordJong Party successfully brings the game to Wii and lets up to four spelling nerds battle it out. This isn’t the kind of game that is going to set the world of fire, but it’s a solid puzzler and a fun multiplayer experience. Some more effort could have been put into the visuals and overall presentation, and the $30 price tag may be a bit much for what’s on offer. But Wordjong Party definitely has that elusive “addictive” quality we look for in puzzle games.

Three unique game modes, achievements, and a clean interface.

6.0 Graphics
Not much of a leap from the DS game.

6.5 Sound
Inoffensive oriental tunes.
7.5 Gameplay
Mahjong Solitaire is fun. Scrabble is fun. Put ‘em together and you’ve got Wordjong. The new Party mode is a nice multiplayer experience.

8.0 Lasting Appeal
The daily puzzles greatly extend the life of the game.
