New Pokemon to be revealed this Saturday

Pokemon fans, rejoice! This Saturday we shall get a look at a new Pokemon. It may be a new forme to a Pokemon we already know, but I think the evidence points towards it being a brand new 5th generation Pokemon. First, a little bit of background information. The US is going to see the release of the 11th Pokemon movie, “Giratina and the Sky Warrior” in 2009 which is what Japan got to see this past Summer. This movie was the debut of Shaymin to the public in Japan. As of now, there is only one Pokemon that has yet to be officially announced in Japan and that is Arceus. Japan is going to get the 12th Pokemon movie next year and everything seems to lining up for Arceus to be revealed in the movie, as you can see here.
So where does this new Pokemon fit in? Every few movies, we have the revelation of at least one new Pokemon from the next generation of games. This usually happens once there have been a few movies based on that generation of Pokemon. Let’s see… we have The Rise of Darkrai, Giratina and the Sky Warrior, and now this 12th movie all part of the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum series. Seems like the perfect time to announce a 5th generation Pokemon to me. But see, that’s not the only evidence.
The Pokemon movie director, Kunihiko Yuyama, said that the title of the 12th movie would be revealed on December 13th (which is this Saturday), along with a “small, yellow” Pokemon. The director also mentioned that this Pokemon would be an Electric-type that would “save the world”. A few days ago, we got a brief glimpse at this Pokemon in a trailer for the upcoming 12th Pokemon movie. However, as you can see in the picture above, a question mark blocked it out of the way. Why hide the Pokemon if it weren’t new? So, Pokemon fans can now look forward to the first 5th gen Pokemon to be revealed this Saturday, along with the future months of speculation before the next games.
