Monster Games working on top secret Nintendo game, possibly F-Zero November 28, 2008
Here’s something interesting. Monster Games, the people behind Excite Truck, are working on a top secret Nintendo title. How secret?
“Right now, the 20 employees at Monster Games are working on a top-secret video game for Nintendo. They’ve worked on it for two years and are nearly finished. The process is so private the designers must darken their monitors when the bottled-water deliveryman enters the office.”
That sounds like it’s a big title to me. It also sounds like it’s too big to be Excite Truck 2. As far as I know, Monster Games as only ever made racing titles…. could they be working on F-Zero? Let’s take a look back at what the infamous Surfer Girl had to say:
“Monster Games is developing another game for Nintendo, that is not an Excite Truck sequel.”"F-Zero is coming to Wii and possibly, but probably not, being developed by Monster Games (according to someone with a rather legimate email address).”
If you take those into account, it seems that the pieces sort of fit together. We’re all desiring a new F-Zero and I’m sure Nintendo is going to make one. It says they’re almost finished with the game, so maybe we won’t have to wait too long to find out about it. Keep your fingers crossed for a new F-Zero Wii title!

It’s either a new addition to the Excite series or Super Smash Kart.
Hey, I’m up for any racing title.
Even if Monster Games are known for racing games, they could be making something like Waves Race, Pilot Wings, or even Star Fox.
Only time will tell.. \:D/

personally I hope it’s NOT F-Zero… I really enjoyed Excite Truck and think Monster Games did a great job on it, especially considering it was a launch title for the Wii. I’d love to see them handed some game that requires a bit more ingenuity than a racing game… I bet we’d all be surprised with how well they can pull off another genre. On a side note… they’ve been saying they want to put an all new twist on the Zelda franchise, something totally different than what they’ve done… could we see “Zelda Kart”? j/k
