Nintendo of Europe “officially” changes logo November 26, 2008

Dear Media Partner,

For several years, a new generation of Wii and Nintendo DS games have adorned themselves with a new logo, in discrete grey.

In various publications the former logo, with red lettering, can still be seen. In the event that you have not already done so, we would like to sincerely ask you to now only use the current, gray Nintendo logo.

Yours sincerely,

The team from Nintendo & Popular PR.

Good thing we still have the red! Ha! lol

This is the era where Nintendo has made it huge in Europe and want to make itself appear futuristic and professional so grey/platinum silver is the colour!
They’ve been doing this on all their game credits/products already and it looks good.
For example, the photo that hattrick uses for the Wii Shop update, I don’t know where it’s from, but it looks DOPE~!

I wonder if we’d ever see the gold logo again, like the one from Mario Kart 64. That was classic! \:D/
