Limited edition Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days DSi coming to Japan in February November 18, 2008

Okay, this is slightly shocking. Square Enix has just confirmed that they are releasing a limited edition Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Nintendo DSi in February. I’d be very surprised if this DSi wasn’t a bundle with the game since that comes out in February in Japan as well. But what shocks me the most is that this confirms part of a rumor that I dismissed earlier. There was a rumor last month that said there would be a bundle with a limited edition DSi that included Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and also Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. The big part of that rumor was that the DSi would have a GBA slot, but Square Enix didn’t mention that when announcing this new DSi. I still don’t believe the GBA slot rumor, but I’ve removed it from my “junk rumor” list to my “keep an eye on rumor” list.

    Yah I remember that…

Well IF it actually does somehow include Chain of Memorys, My money is on a special exclusive to that unit non-redownloadable DSiware rom…

But here’s hoping to them not being cheap about it and giving us CoM’s on a DS cart!

They DID make the PS2 Chain of Memories port in that Special Ed so another port in some form, whether it be a special cart or a download - or indeed the unlikely slot or adaptor - isn’t completely farfetched.
