Remixed Video Game Songs Being Removed from GH Tunes

Here’s part of the story from GoNintendo reader “Jet Pilot.”

Apparently, Activision has a problem with those that are remixing classic video game songs through the music studio program. These tracks are being removed from GH Tunes, and in some instances, users have had their account blocked. I guess we can kiss those Pokemon, Mario, and Zelda tunes goodbye!

That’s dumb. I was looking forward to getting the Mario theme and others.

What?! This is just going to make it even more useless!

If you’re quick, you might be able to download them before they notice and remove them.

Awful news. I’m having more fun playing Mega Man remixes than the game itself. And now it looks like they might want us to have a subscription to access GHtunes? grrr.

Not quick enough! d’oh. They even pulled off a 30 second song of The Office.

For anyone that missed some of the Mega Man remixes for the Wii version, here’s a YouTube link:

Well, now these Mega Man songs I was referencing are back, as are a few others.
Maybe this was specific to Mario songs?
    Maybe they were simply re-uploaded?
Maybe Activision had a change of heart?
How many licks DOES it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie roll pop?
    ???
