RUMOR: Nintendo to announce new Wii and DS accessories at conference?

Bloomberg has an article up that talks about Nintendo’s upcoming conference in Japan. They mention that they will announce the new DS model that Nikkei confirmed, and believe that they will also announce new Wii and DS accessories. They think that a new DS model and new accessories could be Nintendo’s way of combating any price cuts from other companies without having to have any price cuts of their own. It makes sense to me, but I wonder what kind of accessories they would unveil. I hope it’s not the pedometer, that would be boring. I guess we’ll have to wait until tonight to find out.

    I’m assuming it’s that Nintendo-branded pedometer.
    I do wish they’d announce a DS player for Wii, or better yet, that storage solution they’ve been holding us out on!

    Unfortunately since I can’t have both a different color and all my currently paid for VC games on the same unit without paying for them all over again, My only real option is to ether live with the bright white glossy box or find a replacement case & figure out how to put it on without destroying the poor Wii…
