New Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades details

At E3 this year, not too long after Guitar Hero: On Tour was released, another DS Guitar Hero game was announced. Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades is essentially the same thing as Guitar Hero: On Tour, just with different songs. The two games can even share songs with each other, so that if one person has one of the games and the other has the other one, both people can play all of the songs through local wireless play. Anyways, below are all of the new details on Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades.
- 25 songs and 3 bonus songs (as compared to Guitar Hero: On Tour’s 25 songs and 1 bonus song)
- Of those songs, 7 are from Guitar Hero: World Tour and the other 21 are exclusive to Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades
- There are five venues, each with five songs
- Modern: The Pretender (Foo Fighters); Dirty Little Secret (The All-American Rejects); crushcrushcrush (Paramore); The Take Over, The Break’s Over (Fall Out Boy); Tarantula (Smashing Pumpkins)
- 2000s: Can’t Stop (Red Hot Chili Peppers); One Step Closer (Linkin Park); Remedy (Seether); The Middle (Jimmy Eat World); I Believe in a Thing Called Love (The Darkness)
- 1990s: No Rain (Blind Melon) and four other unknown tracks
- 1980s: You Give Love a Bad Name (Bon Jovi) and four other unknown tracks
- 1970s: Sweet Home Alabama [Live] (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and four other unknown tracks
- There’s a career mode for both guitar and bass. As far as I remember, Guitar Hero: On Tour only had one career mode
- The power-ups, game modes, etc. are all the same from Guitar Hero: On Tour
- Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades will be sold without the Guitar Grip for $34.99. The same goes for Guitar Hero: On Tour. (This is the price GameStop is listing it as)
Despite Guitar Hero: On Tour’s issues, I really think that it was the best possible way to have Guitar Hero on a handheld. I really enjoyed it and I still play it all the time. As far as I’m concerned, I’m already sold on Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades. What I’m interested in knowing is how much the share feature will be used. Any of you have Guitar Hero: On Tour and plan to get Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades to use the song sharing feature (which obviously means two people have to be playing)? I know I am.
