According to The People.co.uk, a man murdered two girls, but he now gets to spend his sentence playing Wii.  Here’s a part of the article.

Prison guards have been told to play Wii computer games with Soham monster Ian Huntley in a bid to stop him killing himself.

They have also been instructed to call the murderer by his first name – and treat him like family.

Bosses issued the order because Huntley has tried suicide three times since getting life in 2003 for killing ten-year-old schoolpals Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

My word, this is incredibly old news. He was also treated to a Gamecube, TV, DVD player and more. Treated like royalty, then.

Not that the Queen has a Gamecube…

It’s not the news story but the word schoolpals that bugs me.

The whole thing may as well have read ; “Slaughtered gal pals Holz and J-bird were totally wiped out by the Wii-playing b******ite in like 2003 or some sh**”

@ Leo X – It’s written by people in England, so they’re English is different. Also, what you wrote is very rude and inconsiderate (IMO).

I think it’d be a bit more prudent if they just left some scissors and razors within his reach. It disgusts me that the courts there are having the guards try to keep this trash alive.

Ugh… I jest read the article… At first I was thinking he had some kinda special situation (Like a mental disease or something) and woke to the realisation that he did something terrible & couldn’t live with himself afterwards…

But no… The way that article reads it sounds much more likely that he’s just another horror of a human being whose enjoying every moment he gets away with another crime…

no, this story was reported months ago in other british papers. and as for ‘their english is different’….im english and wouldn’t really use ’schoolpals’ in that context. But it’s a tabloid paper, so I’m not surprised.
