The Conduit gets LAN play, publisher revealed next month September 2, 2008

The Conduit is one of the most anticipated upcoming Wii titles. It’s set to release next year, around March, and gamers are hyped up for it. Not only does it have great graphics and controls, but it has 16 player online play, will feature WiiSpeak compatibility, and as we recently discovered, the game will feature Wii MotionPlus. Well, even more information about the game has been revealed. Ars Technica found out some new details at PAX, and it makes the game even better. A High Voltage representative said that they are working with Nintendo to provide LAN Play. He also mentioned that they will announce a publisher “in the coming month”. That sounds to me like they have a publisher already, so that’s good news. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too much longer to hear who it is.

Yeah I hope this works out. Looks great. I am a little disappointed in the Wiis accuracy at times (like HotD), but if they follow the Metroid path then things should be great.

I hope it’s Nintendo as well. I think another likely possibility is EA, but I’m hoping it’s Nintendo.

I guess I’m not sure why LAN play is that big of a deal. Can’t we just connect via the internet? I’m sure it’ll be faster connected directly…so I guess I answered my own question. haha. But how will they do it? Anyhow… I’m definitely looking forward to this too, and I’m not a huge FPS fan. :-) As for the publisher, I’m so glad they finally found one! In my opinion, anyone would be stupid to pass on a deal like this. If I was a game publisher, I’d take it. haha.

The Conduit, Call of Duty World at War, and Quantum of Solace are the main FPS to look out for.
LAN play would be a great addition to the game. It would signify the start of Wii’s system-link.

I’d be surprised if even SEGA is revealed as its publisher, but I’d put my bets on Nintendo. That way Mr. Ford is only exclusive to a single company.. just like RedSteel 2, whenever that is coming out.
