Nintendo DS at a Seattle Mariners Game

So, I kept hearing about this service, but I never saw anyone write or post about it.  And after Nintendo brought it up again at their E3 press conference, I had to look into it.  Maybe this is old for some of you, but here is a video of the Seattle Mariners Nintendo Fan Connection, downloadable software for your DS.  You can check out games stats, watch live video/replays, order your food, and it looks like even play games with others in the stadium.  I hope this spreads to more than just Safeco Field.

What do you think of this service and the potential it creates for more like it (i.e. other stadiums, airports, etc.).  Also, have any of the readers been to Safeco and tried this out?

Yeah, now Nintendo needs to go out and own even more teams. And get there own airport, I can picture it now, Ninten-air. I love that Nintendo owns part of the Seattle Mariners. Just wish they owned a team that wasn’t on the other side of the United States.

haha i agree. i’ll probably never make it to seattle for a game, and i doubt i’m going to do it just to use my DS in a cool new way…

i use it at every game im at. very useful if there is a questional play. they wont show a replay on the big screen, but you can see it on the ds… they stream whatever is on fox sports net.

Wow that is really cool. I’d love to get a chance to use it but I’ve never even been to Washington.

The Blue Jays should’ve sold their stadium to Nintendo rather than Rogers…

  • Rane

I might go to a game if I ever go visit my aunt in Manchester, but I doubt I’ll remember to download the software. I’ll most likely remember to bring my DS, though.

@ Rane – as far as I know, you do it at the stadium…so as long as you bring your DS to the game, you’ll be set.

That would be really cool to use, I would love to see it at airports, don’t know about stadiums
