According to IGN, Guitar Hero: On Tour has a “secret feature” that we don’t know about yet. We posted a news story about that before, but IGN has revealed a timeframe for its announcement in their latest Nintendo Voice Chat Podcast. In the podcast, Craig said we should find out about it in around a week’s time, so we should know at E3. I’ve heard speculation that it could be DLC, but since the game’s contents have been hacked, we know there are only 26 songs in the game so it can’t be that. My guess is connectivity to Guitar Hero: World Tour, which would be awesome. Imagine using your DS and Guitar Grip as a controller for Guitar Hero: World Tour. It just adds another level of fun, which is always good.

Oh, and while we’re on the subject of Guitar Hero: On Tour, its official site has been updated with lots of new things, including skins for your Guitar Grip that you can download. Check out the official website and post your predictions for Guitar Hero: On Tour’s “secret feature” in the comments.

    no the secret feature is not really a feature its a new guitar hero for the ds and its gonna have a feature were if you have the old guitar hero on tour and your friend has the newer one you can share your songs to build up a bigger setlist and its coming this fall

    it needs more songs, I hear so much about more than 26 songs on the game now, but im sure thats just hope.

    I am responding to evdawg30, and that is what i thought it would be like before it came out in stores

    i think it could be a form of DLC because maybe it has the ability to connnect to the tv and wii's nintendo channel and play songs on the nintendo channel like the DS demo thing, but full songs, and threes like, some songs a week or something.

    What I want and I hope is the secret feature is that you can connect a new mini guitar periferal to it and play it on the go or like you have always played guitar hero. This is most likely not the secret feature but we shall see.

    My guess is that there is a special cheat,(fret pattern) that lets you battle on wifi agaisnt other players, like battle mode
  • Speaker Channel as I had predicted, as our replacement for Daigasso! Band Bros. DX, and perhaps downloadable songs where you can only play while the DS is still on. Power off and the downloaded songs are gone.

    @NapMan: Yea, I just printed one of the skins and I noticed that. Oh well, it looks good even without the holes around the fret buttons. The good thing about using the ones off of that site is you know that it's the right size. If you print one from elsewhere, you'll have to re-size it to get it to the right size.

    My guess on the "secret feature" would have to be being able to play some of the songs off you tv from your wii with your DS+grip.

    That would be cool. But its just a guess.

    I checked out some of the skins. They don't seem to have the holes for the buttons. The instructions mention aligning the holes around the fret buttons but they aren't on the image.
