Pokémon anime questions answered

I’m sure there are many Pokémon fans out there, since Pokemon is a huge part of Nintendo. And I’m sure those that watch the Pokémon TV show will be interested in the following bits of information, which is why I thought I’d post it. Longtime Pokémon fans have many questions they have wanted answered and thanks to the site PokéBeach, we now have our answers. The owner of PokéBeach scored two interviews with Masamitsu Hidaka, the storyboard artist for the show currently and the original director for the show. Check out some of the interesting tidbits from the interview below:

  • Misty will never return as a main character, but possibly as a guest
  • Ash’s grandfather was a great trainer, and Ash’s father followed in his footsteps. So, Ash does have a father, but it’s up to the writers if he will ever appear in the show
  • The appearance of Ho-Oh in the first episode was just there to show how special Ash is, since it is never seen by anyone
  • The writers originally planned to have Celebi appear from the GS Ball, but since they decided to use Celebi for the 4th movie, they just left the GS Ball as a plot hole that they hoped the viewers would forget about
  • The reason why they switch out the female character each generation and not a male is because the girls provide more eye candy for the guys and are more customizable
  • The day Ash becomes a Pokémon master is the day the show ends

I’ve given up on the show since I got bored with it, but I still had those questions in my head, so it’s good to finally get an answer.

    Hmm, they were showing the new series on ITV 3, I think it was, and then it suddenly went back to the first episode of the series.
    This was pretty annoying.

    I know, But still I can’t imagine someone around the 12 to 20ish mark actually watching the show for THAT reason over there. Even though the legal age for them is 12… “Shutters”

    I’m sorry to anyone who might look at this as offensive but for me bing an american 12 years old is just… WRONG…

    I still watch the show and buy most of the DVD’s boxsets. It is my goal to own them all. Ive started back on Season 1, I need to get the rest of the boxsets for it. But I have my favorite one (Master Quest!!!)

    alright…THE BEST SEASON OF THIS SHOW WAS KANTO ARC, THEN THE ORANGE ISLAND ARC, THEN THE JOHTO ARC…THEN A LITTLE OF THE HOENN ARC…then everything else sucked…it was good before ash’s voice actor changed…scrath that…the third season sucked…none of it was good…and WHY THE HELL ARE MISTY/MAY/DAWN EYE CANDY?! i read their reasons above and it still creeps me out…i mean i remember when i was 8 and i first started watching the show and im like…ok misty is hot…but i was 8…so i guess it was ok…but w/e…and do they think we are stupid enough to completely forget about something so important? the GS ball caused them alot of trouble, and some forms of pleasure for brock, but because of the GS ball, brock was taken out of the series AND THAT PISSED ME OFF SO MUCH…and also brock and ash getting rid of their pokemon after each season…it was a logical thing to do…but i missed muk…w/e, even though the games are always the same thing, i still play them and they’re fun, but i wish they would change it up a little and make it more fun…and wasnt there speculation as lance being ash’s father? and are they making anymore seasons of pokemon? cuz they should make new and ORIGINAL pokemon…cuz it seems all they’re doing are using small woodland creatures, generic birda and fish, and trees as pokemon ideas…why not tap upon mythical creatures…like a norwal(?)? and the show should end pretty soon cuz it smells like a pile of shit…they should just do a remake geared for older people…but then again its quite popular in japan…but alright

    For one thing the fact that some 50+ year old developer is probably looking at a childrens cartoon 10 year old girl in that way right now makes me scared shitless for my unborn child!
