That alone is my single biggest grip with it.

Some characters like Rosalina actually require you to get star rankings in 150cc or Mirror!

That or shell out $50 for Super Mario Galaxy in her case…

I personally think she was deliberately put there for EXACTLY THAT! (Even though you really have no excuse owning a Wii without SMG!)

But my point being, Your chance’s of winning should never be based almost solely on luck! It makes completing the game a frustrating & unenjoyable task that may or may not ever even happen for you depending on how lucky you are…

As far as multi player modes go, I usually am in 1st to 3rd during the race & almost always finish about 5th to 7th because of the sad fact that at the end of the day bananas don’t do jack to protect you from blue shells while you’re getting a bullet bill up the ass & blooper all over your face!

This MK gang rape scenario happens to me WAY to often…

Surgical: I dunno, when we played the competition it was really obvious who was in the top most of the time. Items were on. it was a blast. It didn’t feel broken even remotely. it DOES feel broken when playing against the PC. I had a hard time not throwing the remote @ the screen when I Was trying to beat everything on gold!!

I love Items in Brawl when there’s no money on the line but MK Wii is different…

It’s not that it is hard at all, it’s simply broken.

When a game is hard you can eventually be good at it through shear will power & practice.

But when a game is broken no amount of skill & practice will EVER give you any real benefit.

In MK Wii your chance at winning is completely dependent on what items you & your opponents are being dished out.

Your best odds are to camp out in 3rd or 4th place as 1st & 2nd get blasted all to hell & then make a last second dash to the finish line with whatever item you have if any…

Even someone with virtually no skill at all can beat a time attack champion in a standard racing match with the right amount of luck in MK Wii and that’s why I can’t stand it.

It completely removes any & all purpose to try & get better…

Meh… Can’t stand Mario Kart Wii… Brawl would be sweet though!

At least with Brawl you can depend on your skills instead of shear dumb luck.

I’ve been a big fan of the Mario Kart Series up until MK Wii, I really truly hope they balance the next one out better.

I never thought that one day the random items (My favorite feature) would become such a source of frustration for me… ;_;
