First pics of Chrono Trigger DS

Here are the first pics of Chrono Trigger DS on Nintendo DS unveiled by Shonen Jump magazine. The game will apparently be in 2D. The game should be released this Winter in Japan.

    I don’t know if that is from the DS port or not. The text looks just a little to small for it.

    I’m sure the magazine is new but are you sure the pictures are not form the japanese original? To the english eye they do look very identical.

    they look sprite-for-sprite like snes graphics, and i’m pretty sure they’d at least update the graphics in the remake. although to be perfectly honest square enix could sell me the exact same game from 13 years ago and i’d probably still buy it

    Also come to think of it, Shouldn’t we be seeing at least some kind of upper/lower screen shot as well. Considering it is supposedly the premiere introduction to the new game…

    The PSone port was such a horror that I’m perfectly fine with that just as long as I have another shot at playing the game running & sounding the way it was ment too!

    If it’s coming to the DS, I’m sure they doing an upgrade sort of like the Final Fantasy series. These screenshots just look like nostalgiac imagery.

    From what I’ve read around they’re supposedly keeping it 2D with CT.

    But being sense they do have a gig of space to work with on the DS cards I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Anime or some other comparable in game cutseens to make a appearance this time around…

    All I really care about is rather if or if not it’ll play anything like the SNES original.
