Guinness World Records: The Videogame Announced

We’ve seen more of a push by Guinness World Records to get involved in videogame exploits recently, but we certainly didn’t expect this. On Thursday, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games announced Guinness World Records: The Videogame, a title that tasks players with setting a variety of odd records by playing minigames.

Slated for Wii and Nintendo DS, Guinness World Records: The Videogame will feature more than 40 minigame challenges, such as attempting to grow the longest fingernails in the world, traverse a tightrope over the Grand Canyon, or eat a jumbo jet. Wait, eat a jumbo jet? (Does that even make sense?)

“We are very pleased with how Guinness World Records: The Videogame looks and plays,” said Sam Fay, senior vice president of Guinness World Records. “This new development reflects the versatility of our content and how it can be tailored for almost any medium and format. We are sure that the game is going to be a favorite amongst all aspiring record breakers!”

Guinness World Records: The Videogame will be available in North America this fall.

ok… so the ONLY way this would make sense is if it had online leader-boards where you could see who holds the record for the mini-games and know what to do to beat them.
