Nintendo game designers including Shigeru Miyamoto have hinted at a Star Fox Wii sequel during past interviews. To quote Miyamoto in a 2006 interview: “The Wii controller could be easily used to control the airwing in Star Fox.” While that may seem obvious, as Spong who translated the Famitsu interview says, why would Miyamoto even bother mentioning it unless Nintendo was already planning Star Fox Wii over two years ago.

Following later that year was a Nintendo of Europe interview with Star Fox Command (DS) producer Takaya Imamura, in which these further confirming words were published…
Question: “Star Fox would be perfectly suited to Wii’s controls. Are we ever going to see a Wii version?”
Answer: “I wonder how the adventure of Fox and friends is going to go next time?! I have come up with some idea in my mind, but it is still just a small one. I will try my best so that I can deliver it to you some time!”

I Think The Enemy Team in the Needs to be Dark Star Fox because it would be an awesome Game if there was a team like that because there is a Shadow Mario from Mario Sunshine, and there is a Dark Link from Zelda Ocarina of Time so that is a reason for there be a Dark Star Fox team.

I think Krystal and other female characters should form a team, and a few other teams should be made up. More animals. The story mode should be multi-player/co-op so my friends can be Falco and Slippy, bring Peppy back, ROB's got the Great Fox. OR the fourth player can be another optional character for the mission; like Dash, Bill, Wolf, Krystal, or anyone from another team that might be in the mission. Multi-player could be intense with lots of characters/animals.

Story should be optional but relatively same ending so future games won't be frustrating. They should stop aging the characters too! Like we always see Mario, Samus, even Link about the same age and even classic villains are never gone. They should make a major enemy, like maybe a crazy Alien with a cool looking army. Then have the good guys realize they need major help so they somehow bring Andross back then leave it open by ending with the death of the Alien, and Andross out there the classic villain.

From what i've heard about Star Fox Command, it is a pretty horrible Star Fox game because of the fact that there were too many arena fights and it simply wasn't anything like the originals like Star Fox SNES or Star Fox 64(WHICH WAS MY FAVORITE ONE). I also really enjoyed playing Star Fox Assault although It was a pretty easy game to beat with all of the platform battles and and sweet guns you could equip yourself with and still have air-combat too. I am really excited for a new release on the N Wii. That would be so AWESOME. XP
  • btw: an arwing is a plane (sort of)

YES! Awesome, a new StarFox game! I played pretty much every single one. As much as I liked the old ones, I think that just like Super Smash Bros., the series got better as it progressed. I liked SFA more than SF/SF64, and I liked SF:A more than SFA. The only exception is StarFox Command, which, while was fun, didn't quite have what I wanted from a StarFox game. I want a little more than arena fights, maybe the linear stage designs from SF64 and SF:A would've been a lot better.
Anyways, I'm awaiting more news on a StarFox game for Wii.

By the way, what is an "Airwing"? I doubt Miyamoto said that.

Sweet, I loved Star Fox Command. I hope the Wii controls are good for this one.

YES! This is what we been waiting for. We had a true successor to Super Mario 64, The legend of zelda, metroid, and every other great game Nintendo has out so now for a true successor to Star Fox 64. Don't get me wrong, Adventure and Assault were great also.
