0002376 Call of Duty 5, CoD 4 engine running on Wii

The first details on Call of Duty 5: World at War have been revealed by a UK magazine called gamesTM. The issue which was published today claims that the game is going to be grittier, have scarier enemies with new tactics and contain co-op modes.

“There will be co-op for the first time in a Call of Duty. Also there will be vehicles and squad-based elements to the multiplayer. Formats: PC, PS3, 360 and Wii. The Wii version is being worked on by a separate team within Treyarch. (The mag) reckons it’ll be a much closer comparison between the next-gen and Wii versions than any other Wii game on the market.

“Jeez, they have the CoD4 engine running on the Wii apparently. They are using (the CoD4 engine) for all the next-gen ones too. The Wii Zapper will be supported.”

cOd 5 is gonna be hella tight on the wii!i heard it is going to be the best graphic game wii ever had.the bad thing is that wii should of have cOd 4.:(
  • Wii Suck
The CoD 4 engine isn't going to run on the wii you idiots.

Well oddly enough I play COD4 on the PC. So I personally know that COD4 engine is a very good one that isn't at all demanding. So if they are able to use the same engine on the Wii I will not be surprised at all. For example, I have a computer with a X850pro and it played COD4 on Maximum settings. That is a very old card if you know your computer hardware. (Currently using a HD3850)

Fact is the Wii can do a lot with the right game engine, its just that developers are extremely lazy and based everything they do off the damn wii-mote. So you say Lag? I say 2ez. And if it doesn't look pretty much the same quality of COD4 on the Wii ill just pull out another Lazy flag.

If I get cod5, it will be on the 360. If Treyarch has managed to get the cod4 engine running on wii, it is only barely. LAG!
  • LOL @ Call of Duty 5 and Wii doesn't even have CoD 4 yet.
    Dads would be like, "Here's 3 and here's 5. Hey, where's part 4?"

Will the wii version have online multiplayer?

WWII setting or not, this game is gonna be awesome. Hopefully the wii version is fully loaded & not just another ps2 level game with crappy graphics using wii controls. Alone in the Dark 5 is coming out on wii, but is the same as the ps2 version. Hopefully they don't ruin COD5 like that. Maybe Treyarch won't get lazy while making the wii version, it is capable of graphics way better than the ps2, look at MP3.
