Worms 2 DS (demo) Review
Yesterday, I decided to download the Worms 2: Open Warfare demo for the DS (from the Wii’s Nintendo Channel).  Worms 2 was release in September 2007.  This is the second game I’ve downloaded from this channel that I am now considering buying.  Overall, it is really fun and addicting.  If you are used to the older computer games such as tanks — where you shoot back and forth, trying to kill the other person first — then you should get used to this game quickly.  It is similar in fashion, but much better.  You have 3-5 worms that you control one by one.  The game is turn-based.  On each turn, you get about 30 seconds to move your specific worm around the battlefield and then fire on the other team’s worms.  You have grenades, bazookas, dynamite, shotguns, and various other weapons to wreak havoc on the other team.  You also have rope, a jet pack, and many other forms of defense.  The worms animations are really funny to watch too.  All in all, I believe this is a good purchase, especially for $20.  You can also play online (not with the demo, though).  If nothing else, be sure to grab this demo from the Nintendo Channel before it soon goes away on June 8, 2008.  (On a side note, I can’t believe I’m telling you this, but I did try High School Musical: Makin’ the Cut!  It’s a really bad rip off of Elite Beat Agents…at least the demo is.)

UPDATE:  According to WiiNintendo reader PrarieD0G, Worms 2 DS is available at Gamestop this month for $9.99 new.  However, because of this, you may have trouble finding it in stock.
