{Homebrew} StillAlive DS: Portal Platformer

Those of you who liked the phenomenal PC game “Portal” may be interested in this.

This game appears to merge the unique gameplay of Portal with platforming. There are a few inconsistencies (the protagonist seems to be male, and the player collects cake along the way*), but it is rather impressive for a homebrewed game.

*To quote from the game… “The cake is a lie.”

I remember a few of those level designs from Flash Portal.. but this has improved Flash Portal’s controls, and there’s few glitches. Amazing for homebrew, with a level editor and everything. :]

Yeah, this version is better than Flash Portal.
The only thing that Flash Portal has that this doesn’t giving you the ability to block fire from turrets using other turrets or crates. I loved that feature, it made the game feel really action-y.
I downloaded StillAlive and beat all twenty-eight levels once, and than on the “Advanced-Mode” that you unlock after one play-through. Let me just say that the Advanced-Mode is where the real fun begins. I actually had to use some tricks that I made up myself. For example, I discovered that you can pick up a crate while jumping from it.
I’m making some of my own levels now. This game has some amazing replayability, definitely. It even has some sort of Wifi feature.
