I am not sure what a Wario Land Shake is, but if it is anything like a chocolate shake OR the old Wario Land (not to be confused with Wario World) games, Japan is in for a treat.

Jokes aside, Wario Land Shake is a game coming to Japan July 24th. There is no word on a PAL or American release, but I’d be surprised if we didn’t see it on our shelves someday.

It will follow the traditional Wario Land style. It will be a two dimensional side scroller, and the Wii remote will be held sideways. It will make use of some controller shaking, but aside from that it doesn’t seem that it will make much use of the Wii’s unique functionality.

Wario Land Shake is set to include the following features:

  • 20 stages
  • Hand-drawn animation
  • 1 player
  • Various locations including jungle ruins, desert, and ocean
  • Shake the Wiimote for special actions (such as shaking enemies to grab coins, unearth hidden locations, and more)
  • A throwing mechanic via Wiimote manipulation
  • Vehicles such as rockets and submarines

Great hopefully they will make more platformers.Tired of mario party games.Wario Land>WarioWare.
  • I added the extra details.
Just thought they should be included. :3
  • 2D Wario game platformer? Uhh...
  • Whoever edited in those extra details, thanks. I was very rushed when I wrote it.
  • You know how crazy I am for Wario!
I've been hearing about this for the last couple of days.
Finally now we get to see some screenshots.

Looks like something that could be done on the DS, but since the DS has no motion component yet, it goes on Wii instead.

Hopefully it would give hope to other 2D platformers/shooters like Monkey King.

There should be Wario-Man in here. \:D/
