Homebrew: Twilight Princess and Wind Waker Style Ocarina of Time

Lanpartyguide.com has a pretty cool mod for Ocarina of Time. NOTE: These are run via an N64 emulator. Do not ask me how to do it, that is not what we are here for. There are many more than the ones shown here; use the drop-down menus to choose different scenes.

    neat!

I like the texture hack on the third one.

  • shanoboy

Wow, so they actually upscaled the graphics in that second image. The cell shading is pretty sweet too. Nice, I’m gonna get a hold of this!

  • Leo X

I know it (the 3rd) is supposed to look like that cos its Wind Waker version, but that one to me looks like even worse graphics than the n64 lol

  • Neoatlex

I don’t think this should be described as “Homebrew”, since it’s just replacing images in a designated folder.
I’ve tried both of these, and the high-res one is much more visual, it’s basically what OOT would be like if it was on wii(and since I play using a wiimote, it pretty much is, for me).

how can i get this? has it been released yet?

  • Neoatlex

they’re texture packs for an N64 emulator, I can’t really say where to get the stuff.

Look at the other images on the site.

Haha, nothing is coooler to me than being referenced to by a Japanese blog…. check this out: http://gamecolumn.blog17.fc2.com/blog-entry-130.html

Hmmm, this article has more than double the views of any other article on the front page… I don’t see why, unless the Japanese blog drew in some views.

Just noticed this blog entry and figured I would publish the actual link to the zelda page. It’s http://www.lanpartyguide.com/zelda

Also, I’m the creator of the website, but I can’t take credit for making the mod. You can thank Federelli and Djipi for the Hi-Res and Cel-shade texture packs.

    Hello Vinny,

The actual link is already there, I just masked them with Lanpartyguide.com. If you click the link, it goes straight to the Zelda page.

I am a tad confused though… I can’t find out how to get to that page from the site (other than the direct link, of course).

    That can be fixed. *fixing*
