Ubisoft trademarks “Play CamCam”
Ubisoft has filed a trademark for, what the name would suggest, is some sort of motion capture camera for use in some new video games. The image below was taken from QJ.net, who took it from the Trademark Applications and Registrations Retrieval website… it gives some of the specifics about what the new trademark will be used for.
in-case the image is hard to read, the important details read as:
Game software and electronic game programs, namely software games record on CD-ROM and digital video discs for computers; software games record on CD-ROMGS, digital video discs, and cartridges for console and individual, portable gaming systems; software games that are downloadable from a remote computer site and electronic game software for mobile phones, personal digital assistants, and handheld computers
Personally, I’m hoping that this will take us further into the realm of possibly getting a game that makes use of head-tracking. The video *here* has gotten me very excited about that concept of head-tracking… but I’m probably just getting excited about something that’s not related. What do you think the chances are that the Wii gets a motion capture camera before it gets a mic??
