Normally, WiiNintendo would not post anything piracy related on our site, but since the UK and Japan are getting Mario Kart Wii weeks before the US, I figured we ought to let Nintendo know that if they won’t have world wide release dates, then they’re other ways to get the game with other countries. Anyway, here is the info and below is the NFO for proof, you can download the torrent at the bottom. In Activision’s upcoming Guitar Hero add-on, they will bring the history of Aerosmith to life on video game consoles. While the game will be using the same engine as Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, it will have new characters and venues. The new characters will be, naturally, all of Aerosmith. You will be able to play as Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford along with the rest of the fictional Guitar Hero regulars. The new venues will showcase various moments of Aerosmith’s legendary career, such as their performance at the 2001 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The game is set to contain somewhere between thirty and forty songs and will have five different venues. The first two songs in each tier will be songs by bands that influenced or were influenced by Aerosmith; the rest of the tier will be all Aerosmith songs. Apparently 60% of the songs will be by Aerosmith, while the rest will be by other bands ranging from Lenny Kravitz to Run-DMC. Last but not least, the popular boss battles of Guitar Hero III will also make a return, but they will be changed a little bit to address gamer’s concerns from the previous incarnation.

The game is being developed by Vicarious Visions (the same team that made the Wii version of Guitar Hero III), and is currently set for a June 29th release.

IGN: How is it to work so in depth with motion-driven gameplay? How does that change development from something like this compared to a more traditional gaming experience?

Yukes: I think the biggest difference is that we want to put interactivity into every move, and every action in the game, whereas on the core SKU we just get the animation in there, and are done with it. As far as entrances for example, we have to look at how the user will want to play out these entrances, almost like it’s an interactive toy. How do we want users to relate to it? How do we want them to control and interact and enjoy it. Taking that mentality and bringing into the game is certainly one of the most unique aspects of it.

IGN: Last year SvR was very focused on using just the Wii remote and four main directions, but using those in every instance. Are you incorporating nunchuk this time, or if not, how are you maximizing what you’re going to get out of the Wii remote?

Yukes: Yes, exactly how you mentioned (nunchuk control). One of the things we realized though is that when you’re using just the Wii remote, it can be really hard for the sensor to pick up exactly what the user is doing, so what we’ve done is taken a series of tests and found out that it’s easier for the game to pick up what you’re doing if you’ve got both the nunchuk and Wii-mote doing the actions, so that it can check if you’ve done both together, one to the front and one to the side, or a varying level of motion that way. So we’re getting better results doing it that way, and internally we’ve actually constructed a simulation environment where we can have all different types of people come in and play with the controllers, and their different play styles are all spit out onto a graph, and we can see tendencies and exactly how people play the game. We’ve had guys that are hardcore gamers come in, women, and even kids so that we can get data on how they use the nunchuk and Wii-mote, and then see in turn how the game is interpreting what they do. Then we’ve been trying to use that data and find the best control scheme that makes sense, but also the one that has the best response and makes the best feel for the game. We feel pretty confident that the game’s response is much better this year, and we hope your readers will find it to be a much stronger experience because of it.

Jon Murphy: Wii Pro Evolution Soccer 08, best version

In an interview, John Murphy, European PES team leader, said that the Wii version is better than the versions released earlier. The Wii version of Konami’s Pro Evoution Soccer 2008 (PC, PS2, PSP, DS) may have been released on a much later date than the PS3, Xbox 360 versions, but it’s definitely packing quite a punch.

Do be informed that the versions that were released faced much criticisms. These versions had stuttering effects for the PS3 and were pestered with never-ending online problems as reported by Xbox 360 owners.

According to Murphy, the Wii version “isn’t just a good football game, it is an ambitious one.” Because of what the they were able to do with this particular version, fans of the franchise might have to rethink when playing it: “the user orchestrates the entire team.”

In addition to this, Murphy said that the Wii PES has the best online experience to date when compared to the other versions. This particular feature encourages competition, bringing out the best and the worst in players. The online play will be extending the competitive nature of the game and will be “vital in the progression of the series.”
