Use Your Wii as a Media Center

Browsing with the Wii remote is still a bit klunky. Luckily, using that very same browser, you can turn your Wii into a full-fledged media center with the freeware Windows application Orb.

Here’s how

    Not unless you have a HDTV as your computer monitor.
    For me, I already own an external wireless media player for a few years now, the D-Link 320RD w/ DVD, still works like a charm.

    Though I was curious to I try out Wiideo Center, but couldn’t get it to work. Maybe the new version of Orb will. I just wanna see if we can quickly seek videos like any on YouTube. My D-Link is slow at seeking, when sometimes I accidentally press stop.

    its cool as a gimmick but thats about it.
    the video quality really sucks.
    (yes i tried it)

    @Roth & Luke:

    Stop your virtual dick-waving. Clearly the whole point of this is for people who have their PC and Wii in different rooms and no alternative media centre.

    Orb’s clunky and using some basic Flash video right now. This should improve with later versions, and the next version of VLC will have the capability to stream FLV, so the video quality will be better soon.
