Wii Warranty almost up

Wi Card

For those of you who have purchased their wii on launch day the wii’s warranty is almost up. The wii comes with a one year warranty and an extra three month extension if it was registered online. That means fifteen months from launch day is around the middle of February. Just a reminder, you dont need to worry because the wii is a very reliable console and has had a very low failure rate.

Wondering if I should eBay mine and pickup a new one to keep my warranty in order. Should be a break-even affair.

My Wii actually conked out on me on November 18th of this past year. According to the repair receipt, the motherboard died. They processed it and shipped it back to me fixed within a couple of weeks. It’s been working just fine since. And on TOP of that, they put a year warranty on the repair, so I have another year warranty for my console, heh.

In Spain all products have to come with almost 2 years of warranty by law :)

My Wii’s graphics card overheated and got damaged, so I had to get it replaced. That was around last June though. Might have been a bad batch.

I thought it was a year extended warranty when you register online. Oh well does anyone know how much Nintendo is charging to repair a Wii without a warranty?
